Call to Duty

Ministry is our Call to Duty

In my opinion when a person is called into the field of ministry it is not for the aspect of creating wealth, fame or notoriety. It is solely to assist in the facilitation of God’s Will upon the world He formed. God created mankind solely for the purposes of sharing an intimate, loving, and personal relationship with Him throughout eternity. Consequently our mission is to do as Christ himself stated, “For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” John 6:38 . Our duty likewise is the same as that of Christ, to do the will of He who created us for His purposes.

Many misconceive the term “ministry” thinking it is solely reserved for men and women of the pulpit. Quite frankly the majority of people never come into a House of Worship so it is impossible for them to receive what ministers have to offer. It is the ones who do not know God that He reaches out through human vessels capable of delivering the messages of His Holy Spirit to the ones who need Him most. One who delivers the goods of God is a minister. Ministering to those in need is our call to duty.  Spreading God’s love is everyone’s call of duty.
