What is God Seeing in Us Right Now?

I know that I cannot speak for God and neither will I attempt to do so. God is quite capable of speaking for Himself in His own Word. If you want to see the view from God’s perspective read His Word, which will last throughout all times. The Prophet Isaiah said: “The grass withers, the flower faces, but the Word of our God stands forever.” Isa. 40:8 The disciple and apostle Peter quoted Isaiah in 1 Peter 1:25. As you can see mortals living in different times were able to discern the Word and pass it on to us. So if you want to know what God is seeing or what He is saying, He is the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow.

The writer of the book of Hebrews tells us in the 13th chapter: verse 7-8: “Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Somehow, we seem to think that God is relative and adjusts to the ways of the world, but it is the opposite. God is and shall forever be the same. And, His measures are always the same.

This term relativism bothers me because it appears that mankind wants God to bend to the times rather than stand one way for all times. That implies when the measures get too tough to follow you just fold them down to your size so you can feel good about yourself. No! Absolutely not! God does not bend or stoop to our level. He sets the mark for us to reach and determines who passes the mark in order to achieve the grand prize.

I say this to point out what God is seeing right now. In the Ten Commandments God says, “you shall have no other gods before me, do not praise idols, do not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, remember the Sabbath day, honor your father and mother, do not kill, commit adultery, steal, bear false witnesses or covet what others have.” This is just the briefed list and only a small sample of the things God asks of His people. Naturally, if there are people who are doing such things… God is seeing them!

Christ, who is also God, has a long list of our acts and behaviors that He mentions is the Beatitudes. If people are not doing His recommendations or commandments then that is also what God is seeing. Look at what is stated in the epistles written by Paul, Peter, James, and others. They heard the voice of God and wrote down His precepts and measures by which we are to live our lives. If we are not practicing Godly precepts and doing the opposite, God is seeing that right now. If you claim to worship God yet your thoughts, acts, and deeds show no evidence that God is in you, then God is seeing that! Perhaps you will not be able to see as God sees if you do not know His word. That’s on you!

God has been very forthcoming about what He expects of His people throughout the ages. God is not a man with a mortal body. God is Spirit and permeates throughout all physical, nonphysical, spiritual, and nonspiritual realities. When God speaks His WORD command all the elements. They always have and always will so there is no mistake about what God expects, what He wants, what He needs from us, or what He sees in us. If we are not following God’s precepts, He sees that and at this very moment is taking names and allocating the spaces where each soul will inhabit eternally. Every knee shall bow before Him!

If you are not feeding the poor or helping the needy when it is in your power to do so, God sees that. If you are lying, cheating, backbiting, backstabbing, abusing, coveting, idol worshipping, and the like… God is seeing what you are doing. Do you think God is pleased with what He sees in you? It is not just the Ten Commandments, which is the Law, but what the Law was unable to achieve was done by God as a gift to mankind if they just accept the Sacrificial Lamb. Christ did not come to replace the Law but to fulfill it. If the Law is not practiced and you have not accepted Christ as your debt satisfier, then you have an unresolved problem and you will have to answer unto Almighty God. This is not about what I see or what I am saying, these are the things, percepts listed by God in His written word that will be with mankind forever so there is no excuse for not knowing what God expects.

It really dazzles me that people who call themselves worshippers of God, Christians, actually do everything that God opposes, and still, they have the nerve to claim to be a worshipper. Do you not know that God knows the heart? If anyone attempts to make a liar out of God, then they stand in the crosshairs of His mighty arm of judgment? It is one thing to defy the Law or to defy yourself, but to defy Almighty God places one at odds with God and that is not a side that can possibly win. Yes God is merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and the like, but He also has eternity on His side and you don’t. Do you really want to stand toe-to-toe against the Creator of the universe including all things?

Forgive me, I digress, but if you really want to know what God sees in us today you only need to take a quick tour through His written word and it will give you quite a clear picture of what God sees in us right at this very moment. From my perspective, it doesn’t look too good.

However, God says: “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.” 2Chronicles 7:14 So not only is God seeing what we are doing He is also hearing what we are, or are not doing. He continues to say in verse 15: “For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.” The word perpetually means forever.

So don’t take my word for it, take God’s living Word, and hear directly from the Father about what He sees, what He desires, and what you should have as the top priority on your “to do” list. Do you not realize that the Word of God is alive?

“For the word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thought and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:12-13

There is nothing more that I could possibly add to what God just said to you. Listen to the Word of God if you want to know what God sees, what God feels, what He thinks, or who God IS. All praise to Almighty God? We glorify Him… we magnify His Holy Name… Selah!
