We are never alone… never ever.

We are never alone… never, ever… when you are with God.

The thought came to me that when you are in God you couldn’t possibly be alone because the totality of God is in you. The only issue with that is we usually do not sense the totality of God because no mind can conceive of the ALL. When you think of just our world, the earth, every time a tiny sea turtle is hatched God is there. When each salmon hatched from an egg in the sea, God is there. When just one sparrow falls from the sky and is wounded, God is there to care for His tiny creatures. So when I say the totality of God cannot be at the front of our conscious mind it is because our minds were not built to contain the totality of God. God put the capacity in us that He wanted us to have. He wants us to know Him and to love Him but to know how and why He does all the functions that He does at every millisecond of each moment is not our burden. Sufficient the cares of today that God places in your attention for you to carry. God is more than capable of handling the cares of creation without our assistance.

It breaks my heart to see a cute penguin being chased by a huge sea lion that was eventually caught and eaten. It is the same feeling to see a ferocious lion catch a cute little doe snapping their neck and eaten. However, as I sat at my dinner table someone had to kill the cow, hog, chicken, or fish that I eat. One life is lost so another can sustain life. Do we really want to have the cares of God? And yes, God is watching over all and sees all. It is not that we should be unsympathetic or stop caring but that we realize in all things God is behind the picture. In fact, there is nothing that happens without God’s knowing. It helps when we put God at the forefront of all things because as we do, it is done with His blessings. We are thankful for the food that He provides for us, and the shelter that keeps us safe and warm. All things provided for us by God were built from living things. Fruit, plants, nuts, and vegetables were created for our consumption and it was the same God that provided for all His created. As long as we give of ourselves to the Lord we are under His shield of protection. We belong to Him.

As mentioned, if the Spirit of the Lord lives in you… the whole of God is there in Spirit because God is not divided. He is all in one but only different in functions. Imagine, the Spirit requires no space to contain it because there is no mass to contain. If the Spirit of God is in you, you are never, ever, ever alone because God lives in you. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - This also implies that our bodies of flesh are itself a temple that is holy and should be kept as so. Even though flesh gives birth to flesh, Spirit gives birth to Spirit. With God living in our mortal bodies, we are born again in the natural body that we might serve God in all we do here on earth. No, we are not alone, far, far from being so.

Does knowing God live in you cause you to be a bit more respectful in your acts and deeds? Does knowing that God sees your every move cause you to consider not willfully sinning against His decrees? Somehow even devote believers act as though God is sitting somewhere up in the sky looking down on us when He lives right inside our mortal bodies seeing all and knowing all. Does that matter to you? If it mattered deeply it would encourage you to seek change. That is the point God would like to see in all His children but He knows all too well that all fall short of His divine standards so He is slow to anger and quick to forgive. But… is there a limit and of what cost do we constantly flaunt our shortfalls in His face? There is a reason why most of us would rather do our deeds in darkness for fear of being seen by others and judged accordingly. I guess they never figured out that the only Judge that matters has seen it all and know it all so it matters not what the world thinks of you, but what God knows about you. Aw-ha!

As I live and breathe I know that I sin against my heavenly Father and for that, I must always stay on my knees seeking His forgiveness but the funny thing happens, He is quick to forgive and slow to anger if I just come before Him and asks? He knows more about us than we know about ourselves yet we try to live under the cover of darkness rather than bringing our sins into the light of truth where God can handle them. Why would anyone call himself or herself a child of God and be afraid to come to their Father to seek His guardianship? I can answer for many, it is because we are ashamed of our failure to abstain from things we know that we should not be doing or because we know of the thing that we should be doing that we do not do. This causes us shame so we attempt to hide from God not realizing that there is no place to hide from Him. God knows that we fall short and have provided measures that cover our shortfalls but if you do not take the measures provided you do not get the cure for your ailment.

The only difference between a sinner who is condemned to eternal death and a sinner who is allowed to enter the kingdom of heaven is that one hides from God and the other confesses to God. One carries the wages of sin unto death and the other is made whole and complete not lacking in anything. “No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” “No one can enter into the kingdom of heaven unless they are born of water and spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh but Spirit gives birth to Spirit. You must not be surprised when I say that you must be born again.” John 3

So, no, the children of God are never ever alone, even those who would like to hide their sins from the heavenly Father just as the children of “man” seeks to hide their infractions from their parents. Eventually, some learn that it is better to confess and get it over with rather than to continue to hide in shame. God knows about such things better than we do. Even though you might still feel the necessity to hide your sins from mankind to avoid his ridicule, always confess them to God because hiding is not possible and once God forgives… it matters not what mortal man thinks. We are never, ever alone when you are in with God. Selah!
