We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of Liberty to ourselves an our prosperity, do ordain the establish this constitution for the United States of America.

-Preamble to our Constitution-

Let us not lie to ourselves, America has never been for all the people as it states in our constitution. We have never achieved the goal of forming a more perfect union. With that fact stated it was and still is an idea worth pursuing. But in order to get there we must clean out the garbage and face the truth. As it stands currently this nation is still living a lie. Slavery did happen! Slaughter of the indigenous inhabitants did happen! This land was stolen from its original inhabitants! Segregation and bigotry has been the normal practice for hundreds of years since the formation of this nation. These facts do not jive with what is written on paper so unless and until we acknowledge that we are living the lie we can never get to this more perfect union. The question becomes, how can we get there when we have this ninety-ton elephant sitting in our living room blocking us from getting out the front door?

When I was a child in school we were required to stand up and place our hands over our hearts and recite a pledge of allegiance to the flag of this nation knowing that this was not a nation under God with liberty and justice for all. Our schools were segregated by white and black people. All public facilities forbid black people from entry. There were signs posted throughout the area stating no Negros allowed. The policemen enforced this segregation and they were responsible for upholding the laws of the land. How can any rational person ignore the obvious? America is an idea that has never materialized. Again, how can we as a nation of people manifest this good sounding idea?

One thing that is unavoidable is the fact that history will leave an everlasting impression of the actions committed by man. Slavery was and still is one of America’s greatest stains in history. What happened to the indigenous citizens of this nation is also one of the clearest depictions of the character of the people of this nation. Those who fought for or against the civil war will be judged by the side they took either supporting bigotry or opposing it. The people who decided to incarcerate the Japanese Americans in prison camps have been judged in the annals of history. Those who fought for or against the civil rights of African American citizens have been judged by the annals of history. This brings us up to our current day and times.

We will not have to wait very long before the history books will undoubtedly record that Donald J. Trump will go down as the absolute worse American President in the history of this nation. There is no close second place recipient! True there have been a few poor leaders but for the most part they were not persons of evil character. Donald J. Trump at heart does not care about anyone but himself and his own self-aggrandizement. He intentionally divides the nation that he was sworn to protect and serve. He demeans the rule of law and debases agencies that are responsible for upholding our nation’s laws. He personally breaks the law and thinks he does not have to abide by written laws if they go against what his wishes. He freely separates children from their parents as a deterrent for something that he wants to achieve. He is a bigot, a liar, a cheat, and a thief. He destroys decades of relationships with other nations that were considered our friends and allies. He hates people of color. He is a misogynist, a bigot, a chauvinist; an egotistical maniac, a flamboyant narcissist and feels that he knows more than anyone around him. He ignores climate effects on the planet, and in truth care absolutely nothing about the people who faithfully support him. He is merely using them to achieve his selfish gains and will drop anyone of them at the drop of a dime if they do not give him complete loyalty.

He is grossly unqualified for the job of being President, intellectually challenged and by all accounts a dangerous element to not only the United States of America, but also he causes ripples across the entire world order. Of this behavior history has already record his personal character, but ultimately he has not yet dumped his most grotesque load of caca. Several human beings have lost their lives that can be directly attributed to carrying out his sentiments.

His sycophants think they can ride his glory but history will ultimately and inevitably attach their names and reputation to him. They will be enviably connected to him at the hip. Quite a few men that were once thought of as men of good character have become his enablers. Mitch McConnell, Vice President Pence, Attorney General Barr, Lindsey Graham, Kevin McCarthy, Ted Cruz, Ron Johnson, Steve Scalise, Marco Rubio, Tom Cotton, Devin Nunes, Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan, and other less verbal sycophants. They are not stupid so they know he lies and is a danger to the republic but refuse to stand up against him. History will not be kind to these men and quite a few female politicians who absolutely know this man’s character.

My greatest fear is that one man singularly corrupted hundreds of years of building something that could one day become that shinning city on a hill. This nation was looked up to and admired by the entire world, in spite of what we now know to be the truth. Could this be God’s way of bringing what is done in darkness into the light of divine truth? I see no other explanation. I dare not print scripture in this essay… it would defame the word. You know what God says about things done in darkness…
