When it comes to the words of man versus the Word of God, which do you trust? If you were to take the combined words from the most intelligent persons that has ever lived and compare to the Word as inspired by God through man over thousands of years… there would literally be no comparison using any measure whatsoever. This is because God’s words are more like an instruction manual from the Maker to the made, which are deeper truths and not merely historical utterings. God does this because He wants man to know Him and to know the world He created around man. Those truths hidden in His Word are the secrets to the known universe.

Many do not accept the Word from God as absolute truth simple because they do not fully accept the omnipotence of God. God has unlimited in power over all things with the ability to do or cause anything at will. But instead He only operates on a level of holiness; righteousness and the most sacred trust… therefore His actions reflect absolute purity and truth. The reason why many cannot accept God is because they cannot comprehend the reality of such capabilities. They try to compare God’s abilities with human capabilities. They can only imagine things that are possible to a human. But God’s thoughts are not like man’s thoughts nor are His ways like the ways of man. Isaiah 5:8-9

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

God IS! It is irrelevant whether one believes in God or not. Just as you and I exist, God not only exists, He was the cause of all existence. Before man there was God. Before all things came into existence there was a Source that caused all things to come. GOD IS! Absolutely everything that came into existence was caused by His hands: by His Word. God spoke creation into existence and here we are in what He spoke.

Ironically as I attempt to explain or to make a case for believing in God, God needs no defense from mortal man, and certainly not from a sinner like me. His immeasurable grace and mercy actually allows man’s defiance… to a point. In the proceeding passage of scripture I just quoted, here is what the Prophet Isaiah wrote: Verse 55:6-7

Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.

Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.

No, God doesn’t have to do anything in our favor but even with all His power and ability He tolerates our mischievous defiance. Imagine if God were truly like mankind our existence would have ended long before we were born. Yet God has eternity to deal with us. On the other hand we have but a gain of time to come to Him.

In truth there is nothing I or any man can say or do to convert one from an unbeliever to a believer. This is because only God can open the heart of a person where belief is possible. Only the Maker of a person holds such a key, I can only caution others to seek the Lord while He may be found and call upon Him while He is near, the rest is personal between God and the ones He made. Every knee will have to bow before God almighty at the time of reckoning.

One thing is certain; the Word as inspired by God has permeated throughout our history as truth while words of man are at best temporary. God is eternal while mortal man is only temporal. God’s word threads throughout eternity: can you name one mortal man who has accomplished that so far? You need not believe a word that any man or I have ever stated, but if you don’t somehow open a door to where belief is possible, God will cast your memory out of existence. This is what His word says to you. I only implore you to give God a chance. Glory to God Almighty! Selah.
