In this current tribal atmosphere that we are experiencing there are very few positive things to get excited about. We are going through a stage of negativity where it appears to be dark clouds looming over us, blocking out joy and happiness. If you have taken an occasional airline flight you might have witnessed times when low clouds were hovering low to the ground… it all but block your view. But as soon as you reached a certain altitude you broke through to where the sunlight was as bright as ever. In a similar manner we will need to break through this negativity so we can reclaim our joy!
Even though this darkness is not what our Father designed for us, we are experiencing the consequences of the choices that we have made as a society. I believe in Karma, which states that for everything we do it creates a corresponding energy that comes back to us in some form or another. The natural law states that energy cannot be created or destroyed; rather is has to be transferred or transformed from one form to another.
Throw a pebble in a pond and watch the ripples spread out exponentially toward the shores. That is how the natural world works. When you cause an action to happen it has an effect. Those effects will eventually settle the score of the cause. Although this might sound out of bound for some, it actually proves how precise God was when He created our world giving us dominion over it.
We have the power to do what is right or to do evil. However, when we make a choice it comes with a (cost) consequence. It sends ripples out exponentially until they are met with a counter resistance. Even though good will eventually overcome evil in the end… that does not stop people from irresponsibly shooting bullets up into the air not knowing where those bullets might land. Each of our thoughts acts and deeds have consequences and they could even hurt, harm, or even kill someone.
I only say this to those who have heart because many people just don’t care. They carelessly sling their acts without thinking about the consequences. What if an unsuspecting person was in the path of your wild acts? What if your deeds caused harm to an innocent child? If you are not impeccable with your thoughts, acts and deeds it is like shooting bullets up into the air not knowing where they might land.
As I criticize you I point fingers of blame back on myself. I have done such insane things without contemplation of where my ripples might land. Who knows the harm or pain that I might have caused to others while walking in darkness. Thanks be to God that I have somewhat matured and have been awakened by a Spirit that pays attention to such things. When I do things now knowing they are wrong, I will suffer more in knowledge than I did through my ignorance. However I gladly accept the chastisement for the wrong I do so I might be made whole and complete, not lacking anything. James 1: 2-4 says:
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
Until we take the responsibility for all our acts, thoughts and deeds we can’t experience pure joy. Realizing that our energy is literally moving the world around us, one ripple at a time… that should make us more impeccable with the things we do. We need to somehow clear the slate that blocks us from achieving what God has in store for us. God is not blocking us from the joy that He gives, but we are blocking ourselves by not honoring our reciprocal part of the agreement. Once we have done our best we would be free to experience the joy that comes through God by doing what is pleasing in His sight.
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” 1 Cor 2: 9-10
There is pure joy awaiting us to break through the darkness that we caused with our careless thoughts, acts and deeds. Joy, joy, joy…make a joyful noise…Hal-le-lu-jah…Hal-le-lu-jah… Hal-le-lu-jah!
